CiLmirsac AK45 Bluetooth Amplifier Overview

The full review

How the CiLmirsac AK45 Bluetooth Amplifier performs, point by point

The details that matter when you're deciding — tested in our room, explained in plain language.

01

Sound and Everyday Listening

The CiLmirsac AK45 is very much a “good enough for the room” kind of amp, and I mean that in the practical sense. It gets a small vinyl setup playing without much fuss, and in a modest space it has enough drive to feel lively rather than strained.

What I hear most is a straightforward, no-drama presentation. It doesn’t try to sound fancy or overly polished, but it does the job of giving records, Bluetooth playback, and casual TV audio a clear, listenable push through passive speakers.

At normal listening levels, I found it easiest to enjoy when I treated it like a utility amp instead of a tone-shaping piece of gear. If you want something simple that makes music happen in a bedroom, office, or starter system, it fits that role pretty well.

02

Build and Front-Panel Feel

The AK45 has that compact mini-amp look that tells you exactly what it is the second you see it. It’s light, simple, and clearly built for convenience more than for showing off on a rack next to nicer hi-fi gear.

The controls are basic and easy to understand, which I appreciate. I never had to dig through menus or second-guess what a knob was doing, and that matters when you just want to sit down and listen.

It’s not the kind of component that feels luxurious in the hand, but it also doesn’t pretend to be. For a budget-friendly Bluetooth amp, I’d rather have something plain and functional than something dressed up and awkward.

03

Bluetooth and Source Switching

Bluetooth is the big convenience feature here, and it makes the AK45 easy to live with. Pairing is quick enough that I didn’t feel like I was fighting the thing every time I wanted to stream music from a phone or tablet.

That said, I still think of Bluetooth as the “easy mode” input on this amp, not the reason to buy it. It’s handy for background listening, playlists, and casual use, especially if the rest of your setup is built around vinyl but you still want wireless flexibility.

Source switching is simple and direct, which is exactly what I want from a compact amp like this. I never felt lost trying to move between inputs, and that keeps the whole experience pleasantly low-stress.

04

Setup with a Turntable System

For a small vinyl setup, the AK45 makes sense as long as you understand what it is and what it isn’t. I’d use it with a turntable that has a built-in phono stage, or with an external phono preamp feeding a line-level input, because that’s the cleanest way to build around it.

Once it’s wired in, the appeal is how little thinking it asks of you. Speakers in, source in, power on, and you’re basically done, which is great if you’re putting together a simple record corner and don’t want a pile of boxes.

I like it best as a starter or secondary-room amp, where convenience matters more than chasing the last bit of finesse. If your record collection lives in a casual listening space, the AK45 is easy to slot in and just use.

05

Who It Makes Sense For

This is the kind of amp I’d point toward someone building a first passive-speaker setup, or someone who wants a cheap, compact way to get sound in a smaller room. It’s also a decent fit if you need one box that can handle a little bit of everything without turning your setup into a project.

I would not buy it expecting serious hi-fi refinement or much in the way of upgrade-path excitement. It’s more of a practical endpoint than a piece that begs to be tweaked around the edges.

For the right buyer, though, that’s exactly the charm. It’s simple, it works, and it gets you listening fast, which is often more useful than a component that looks more serious than it feels in daily use.
