I see the Soundavo IC-860CF as a good fit for someone building a simple, clean in-ceiling system and prioritizing convenience and room coverage over chasing the last word in detail. It makes the most sense in setups where the speakers are part of the house, not the centerpiece of the room.
If I were outfitting a multi-room audio system or adding discreet speakers to a living space, this would be the kind of model I’d consider. It’s not trying to be a showpiece, and honestly, that’s probably why it works for the right buyer.
